16 years of tutoring. One consistent belief — that every student can get maths, with the right teaching.
At Locus Tuition, we set out to do one thing — give students access to maths teaching that's genuinely excellent. Not a revolving door of generalist tutors. Not rushed sessions that tick a box. Structured, expert tuition that actually moves the grade.
Right now, Locus Tuition is a small team — but the vision is bigger. We're building a group of specialist tutors who teach the same way: with clear structure, genuine patience, and the belief that every student can improve when they're taught properly.
There's a lot of noise in the tutoring market. Here's where Locus sits.
No algorithm, no automated feedback, no AI marking your child's work. Every session has a real tutor who planned that lesson around your child specifically.
Small groups stay small. 1-1 stays personal. You'll never be just another face on a screen — every student is known, tracked, and taught accordingly.
No one-size-fits-all revision packs. Every session is built around your child's exam board, their specific gaps, and where they need to be by exam day.
Amit has been tutoring maths for over 16 years — starting informally at university and building what eventually became Locus Tuition from the ground up. A maths graduate, he works exclusively with Years 7 to 11 students across GCSE and iGCSE, and has spent that time developing a curriculum that's entirely his own.
Rather than using off-the-shelf resources or generic revision packs, Amit maps each student's syllabus, identifies the specific gaps holding them back, and structures every session around what that student actually needs — not what a standard textbook says should come next. The result is tuition that feels nothing like school: focused, logical, and built around the individual.
His specialism is reading what a student needs and adapting in real time. Some need the foundational logic explained before anything else makes sense. Others are technically capable but have one or two gaps quietly costing them marks. Amit works out which — and teaches to it.
Every student who joins Locus goes through the same structured process — from that first call to exam day.
A quick 15-minute call to understand where your child is, what they need, and which Locus programme fits best. No commitment.
We identify exactly which topics are holding your child back — right down to the specific syllabus points the exam board will test.
A structured plan built around your child's gaps, exam board, and timeline to exams — not a one-size-fits-all curriculum.
Weekly lessons that teach the system behind the maths — not just methods to memorise, but the logic that makes everything click.
Every session comes with worksheets and practice questions targeting exactly the topics covered — built for your child, not downloaded from the internet.
Past papers, exam technique, and timed practice built into the programme. No surprises when the real thing arrives.
We review progress every half term. You'll see exactly what's improved, what's still being worked on, and what comes next.
